In January, brewers from Olympia Coffee Roasting Company took four of the top five spots at the U.S. Brewers Cup Northwest regional championship, held at the Tacoma Convention and Trade Center.

Sam Schroeder, Oliver Stormshak, Will Frith, and Honor Forte, place second through fifth, in that order, at the competition, which featured brewers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Montana and Wyoming. This marks the highest rank ever for competitors from Olympia.

Sam brewed Olympia Coffee’s Panama Mama Cata Geisha for his final round, grown by Jose’ David Garrido on his farm, Mama Cata, in Boquete, Panama. All the winning coffees are available at their stores and online.
