            Bad Grinder

Olympia Police were summoned to a familiar scene when an evening of dancing at a downtown bar took a kung-fu turn. The action started when a woman attempted to spurn the aggressive advances of an unfamiliar man on the dance floor, and ended with two kicks and a knockout.

According to the victim’s account in the police report, an African-American “male with short hair, a round face, and a yellow striped polo-shirt”, kept trying to “grind on” her, while continually “grabbing and groping” her. The woman became frustrated with the sexual harassment and “kicked him in the leg.”

The woman said that the persistent man on the prowl responded to her kick by “taking photos of me with his cell phone.” The impromptu photo session was just a precursor to the man’s next move. According to the victim, he then “kicked me extremely hard, knocking me out, where I was unconscious on the floor.”

The victim suffered a facial contusion during her dance floor fall. Witnesses stated that they saw a man matching the description of the suspect running from the area but a subsequent police search was unable to locate his whereabouts.

Incident: Jezebel Storms Artesian

            Well

A rowdy woman who had been imbibing another downtown bar stepped outside into the evening air and promptly continued to raise a little Cain.

Witnesses described first watching the woman “acting crazy” around the bar and on the dance floor, where she was “pushing people around”, and appeared to be “trying to fight people for no reason.” After the woman stepped outside of the bar onto 4th Avenue, she continued pushing and attempting to punch “random people” who happened by on the sidewalk.

Then a friend of the woman stepped in and asked what was wrong, in an attempt to “calm her down.” The unconsolable woman then pushed her friend out into the street, following that up with another shove directly into the path of oncoming traffic. The furious female then headed across the street toward the Artesian Well.

As the woman reached the entrance to the welll parking lot, she immediately began assaulting a group of women who were walking out of the lot. The women fought back, exchanging punches and profanities with their assailant as the watchful crowd across the street made their way over to the action.

It was then that an OPD officer pulled into theparking lot and witnessed the Jezebel sitting on top of another woman and “striking the female with both of her closed fists.” A member of the group that had been assaulted pulled the woman off of her associate and hollered to the police officer, “This bitch just hit my friend!”

The assailant began to walk away from the approaching police officer and declined multiple commands to stop, before the officer stated she “arranged her right hand so that I was directed to her middle finger.” The OPD officer noted that bird-flipping hand was smeared with what appeared to be blood.

After one last verbal command to stop was ignored, the police officer “yelled,‘Taser,’” before firing the electrical barbs into the woman’s back and neck. The electrical current caused the woman to “become rigid” and fall forward, striking her nose on the pavement.

The woman was eventually restrained to a gurney while being checked over by EMTs. She admitted to consuming four shots of alcohol, and smoking meth “once earlier.” She was booked on charges of Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
