Two clarifications relating to our coverage of the Olympia Food Co-op boycott of Israel:
In a letter two issues ago, a writer discussed the “the $940,000 that the City of Olympia gives Israel every year through federal taxes.” This amount referred to the pro-rated share of federal government funds attributable to the population of Olympia. The city government of Olympia does not provide any funds to Isreal.
Our article last issue said that the original call for a boycott by the co-op came from a staffer. It actually came from a volunteer working member.
